Trip Leaders

Sarahann Yeh (Experience Leader)

Hi everyone! I'm a current Junior Biological Sciences major with a minor in International Development and Conflict Management. I was born and raised in Montgomery County, MD, and am continually fascinated by global issues, and most recently returned from 6 months studying and traveling in China. On campus, I'm involved with Life Sciences Scholars, the Peer Leadership Council, and Guided Study Sessions. I am a sleep-is-a-sport believer, ice cream fanatic, and can list my travel inspirations in my sleep. I don’t really know what I want to do with my life, but am considering health policy or state department work. I'm super excited to be leading this trip, and hope that it is transformative for each and every one of us!

Samantha Enokian (Experience Leader)

I am currently a Sophomore at UMD studying Russian Language and Literature and hoping to pair that with Government and Politics. I was born in Baltimore and absolutely love spending time there! In my free time I like to go hiking around Maryland, sing, and spend time with my goofy, amazing friends. Fun Facts? Well, I took a selfie with Snoop Dogg, have a freckle on my foot and am currently planning this trip from Russia! I am very excited about leading this trip to DC because it is centered around an amazingly complex and important issue. I have done some work specifically with sex-trafficking, but I am eager to delve deeper into more issues surrounding trafficking.
